Bukan pulak sibuk nak join-venture dengan lawan kita..he he...
Menjual kena inovatif..kena kreatif ...macam Air Asia jual tiket online...product zero fares dan sebagainya. Sekarang ni kat premier leaguepun ada jenama Air Asia...
Begitulah PAS.
Ramai lagi perlu keluar. Pasarkan PAS dalam bahasa yang mudah difaham.
Bukan retorik basi....Jadikan ini azam tahun baru kita...
The future is here!
DEC 31 — As the year comes to a close and the curtain of the decade almost drawn down, you may have wondered what the future will be like. And mind you, you’re not alone.
Given the rot that has plagued our critical institutions and the admitted economic stagnation of the last decade, let alone the natural disaster of the tsunami and the never-ending epidemics, little wonder why many are anxious, raving and ranting.
But alas, not all is gloomy and grim. As the saying goes, every dark cloud has a silver lining. Yes, a “silver lining from the black sky” of our beloved nation was seen, perhaps a glimpse of the future. It has in fact arrived nonetheless.
Yes, you are right. The future is here. It may be slightly ahead of schedule. But there isn’t much choice either. It had a strong calling and felt compelled to arrive ahead of its time.
It indeed heralds the dawn of a new awakening, long-awaited and quite welcomed by many but dreaded only by the enemies of change and reform.
Nothing captures this event better than the candid expression of the PAS spiritual leader Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat when he effortlessly exclaimed that “saya berasa dalam dunia baru” (I felt like being in a new world) when seated next to his once-upon-a-time political arch-rival Karpal Singh, chairman of the DAP.
Yes you are right again. I’m talking about the Common Policy Framework, now dubbed the CPF, launched at the first Pakatan convention on Dec 19 in Shah Alam.
Malaysian political trajectory
I’m revisiting this “historic” event unusually early. Like many perhaps, I wanted it to be made eternally “current history”. I remember the advertisement insignia of the journal “Current History” that tags “If you’re not current, you’re history”. While Dec 19 may be “historic” in more than one sense, many wouldn’t want it to be just “history”.
If anything, Dec 19 should remain current, better still an early arrival of a vibrant political trajectory of Malaysian political history for the next 50 years, the next five decades! Yes…. well in advance of the next general election.
Quoting a The Malaysian Insider columnist, the race for control of Putrajaya in the next general election appears to have begun with the recent unveiling of Pakatan Rakyat’s (PR) CPF and Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s National Key Results Areas (NKRAs).
While not wanting to disagree with the above assertion, the writer would want to believe that Pakatan’s CPF is much more that the narrow zero-sum game of political contestation of a parliamentary democracy.
The writer strongly believes that the CPF is the policy framework of a New Politics for a New Malaysia. After half a century of sovereign independence, Malaysia is now ready to make the next quantum leap of nation rebuilding.
Decades of stagnation and decay
The imperative need for change is all too evident and abound. The last three decades saw how the nation was almost bankrupted by unbridled extravagance; the squandering of our wealth despite the yearly admonition of the Auditor-General's report exposing endemic corruption and abuse of public money year in and year out, while our fundamental liberties were trampled upon.
Suffice to paraphrase some current notable men of our nation as to depict the ruinous outcome of the “law of the rule” that has pervaded the entire gamut of our national life.
A constitutional law expert has called our nation Zimbabwe by another name. Without mincing his words, Professor Abdul Aziz Bari has likened those who hold the reins of power in Malaysia to a bunch of “thugs”. Numerous examples were cited in elaborating his accusation of the state of “lawlessness” and bemoaning the travesty of justice when "the judiciary takes its cue from the government."
The overturning of the decisions of the High Court by the Court of Appeal on numerous occasions smacks of contempt; the MACC’s questioning time of witnesses, the Perak constitutional impasse, etc, etc, while the setting up of the JPP (Federal Development Department) are downright ultra vires the defined rights of the states, the continuous assault on the practice of federalism as embedded and enshrined in the Federal Constitution.
The recent use of the Emergency Ordinance to define territorial waters in the Kelantan oil royalty issue is yet another example of the BN government's blatant disregard for the law.
The second finance minister has now finally and fully concurred with the former Finance Minister Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah that the economy is stagnating. The signs of a low growth economy are all around us. Wages have stagnated and the cost of living is ever-rising.
According to the World Bank, Malaysia’s share of GDP contributed by services was 46.2 per cent in 1987. Ten years later, that share had grown by a mere 0.2 per cent. Between 1994 and 2007, real wages grew by 2.6 per cent in the domestic sector and by 2.8 per cent in the export sector, which is to say, they were flat over that 13-year period.
Pakatan Rakyat’s CPF
Pakatan Rakyat’s CPF has presented a novel and a rejuvenating framework for our nation-rebuilding well ahead of the general election. It is a policy advocacy to lead the rakyat and this nation out of the current worsening crisis.
The policies that are derived from adherence to the Federal Constitution and universal principles of justice will safeguard the rule of law and the independence of the judiciary, which in turn will guarantee that the human rights and dignity of the people will continuously be defended and upheld.
The CPF has put down four major points to make the case to voters, by promising transparent and genuine democracy, a high-performance people-centric economy, social justice and human development, and better federal-state relationship and foreign policy.
The fact that it has been derived from a consensus achieved out of “debate and dissent” from a three-party coalition now called PAKATAN RAKYAT is both awesome and inspiring. PAS together with DAP and PKR have now reasserted their commitment to the common policies, while putting their own diverging ideological convictions within their own party’s platform.
Pakatan reassures the rakyat that we are in to seriously “walk our talk” after policy is laid down. The last 20 months saw our tireless efforts, admittedly not without its shortcomings though. In realising the people’s aspiration and hope, Pakatan therefore declares our commitment to execute the agenda of new politics by mobilising the people’s power from the various races, religions and cultures as one force.
Clarifying PAS’s Islamic advocacy in CPF
Contrary to the accusation of mellowing and diluting its Islamic agenda, PAS has now come strong on its Islamic stance of attack Umno/BN over the narrow racial approach of Malay hegemony, perversion of power, the spread of corruption, the plunder of the nation’s wealth and the repression of the people’s rights, which are all in total contradiction with Islam.
PAS’ advocacy on Islamic governance and democracy is indeed distinct in the experience of political Islam on the global stage. Given the truly plural politic of Malaysia and a mixed demography of the electorate, PAS’s coalition-building experiment is unique and rare.
PAS now stresses on the imperative needs of establishing justice, the supreme and overriding purpose of syariah. The articulation of PAS’s Islamic political advocacy in Pakatan is very much admired and supported by all, making its tagline of “PAS For All” and soon “Islam For All” the envy of its political nemesis, Umno, the Malay party.
PAS has come a long way in a short while after March 2008 to understand that it must not allow the repeat of the 11th general election that saw PAS suffering one of its worst election debacles after only assuming the opposition leadership in Parliament for one term. PAS has now contextualised its electoral strategic objectives within the broader framework of Pakatan.
PAS has now debunked the fear of adherents of other faiths (Christians, Hindus and Buddhists) to Islam and tore down the barriers of race, religion and cultures by advocating the politics of mutual respect and understanding (politics of Lita’arafu).
PAS’s comrades in Pakatan have come to be familiarised with common verses of the Quran and now even the Tradition of the Prophet Muhammad, while the Chief Minister of Penang openly cherishes the good governance of the Caliph Umar Abdul Aziz in advocating “Amar Ma’aruf dan Nahi Mungkar”. (Enjoining good and forbidding evil).
PAS by now should understand that the prudent approach of advocating “Islamic criminal laws” can only be done within the ambit of democracy and through the ballot-box i.e. through persuasion and being mandated by the rakyat as a whole.
PAS must avoid the mistake of again being perceived as imposing Islam and Islamic criminal laws (hudud, etc), on others as it will subvert Pakatan’s CPF. Being a truly democratic Islamist party PAS must assure others that it has to achieve its objectives by complying with the parliamentary and democratic process of the country and it has to achieve it incrementally through a strategy of winning the hearts and minds of the entire rakyat through the ballot box.
We invite the Malaysian people to create a new consensus that is founded on the principle of justice for all and a genuine constitutionalism.
This is the agenda of the future now and that must be done if we are to regain the nation’s respect, freedom and dignity.
This is the path of redemption for the lost decades of this nation. Pakatan is ready for change. Are you?

MACC says PI Bala main witness in Altantuya mysteryBy Neville Spykerman
MACC insists Bala write in formally before they investigate. — Reuters pic
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 29 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today reiterated that P. Balasubramaniam must make a formal statement before any investigation can proceed on the private investigator’s allegations surrounding the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.
The missing private investigator had sent an email of his allegations to the MACC after making public claims that linked Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his family to events after the 2006 murder, including being paid off to retract a sworn statement, but the anti-graft agency has yet to take action.
“We want Bala to come forward to give his statement. He is our main witness,” said MACC director of investigations, Datuk Mohd Shukri Abdull, in a short text message to The Malaysian Insider.
Mohd Shukri’s response was to claims by Bala’s lawyer, Americk Sidhu, that the MACC wanted the missing private investigator to formally write about his claims, despite a series of video interviews available at the Malaysia-Today news portal and YouTube.
He explained that they wanted to question the former special branch officer first before they question others implicated by him.
“His statement is very important before we proceed in questioning other persons,” said Mohd Shukri, who did not respond when asked if this also meant there would be no investigations if Bala did not come forward.
In the series of video interviews, Bala made sensational allegations that Najib knew Altantuya, and that his architect brother Nazim together with a businessman linked to the prime minister’s wife made him retract a statutory declaration on the case.
Bala identified the carpet businessman as Deepak Jaikishan, whom he claims is a close associate of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.
Two elite policemen are appealing death sentences for the murder of the Mongolian model, whose death in 2006 is still shrouded in mystery. A third accused, political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda, a close friend of the prime minister, was acquitted.
Najib has denied ever knowing Altantuya but her murder continues to provide ammunition used by the opposition against him.

NO COVER-UP: Dr Mahathir also wants Barry Wain to provide evidence of his claims
PETALING JAYA: Minister in Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz has rubbished Pakatan Rakyat's call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate the theft of military jet engines as well as claims made about former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in the book Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in Turbulent Times.
Nazri, who was in China when contacted by The Malay Mail, said, "We don't have to entertain such demands. We have the relevant authorities to investigate this. If everything has to go through a Royal Commission, then what's the use of the A-G's (Attorney-General's) Chambers?" he asked.
"They (the Opposition) keep asking for royal commissions to be set up. Don't they have anything better to work on?"
Investigations were still in progress in the case of the jet engines theft, he said, adding that the people should wait for the findings before making any conclusion.
"We should just wait and let the investigation be completed."
On Sunday, it was reported that Pakatan Rakyat wanted a Royal Commission of Inquiry to investigate the theft of two F5 jet engines and the related components-for-sale racket, as Pakatan leaders deemed the latest scandal an indication of the "corrupt" Barisan Nasional (BN) government.
"We are asking for a royal commission to investigate the scandal," an online news portal quoted Pakatan leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as saying.
Two J85-GE-21 jet engines that power the F5 fighters were stolen from two Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) facilities in 2007 while some components from the same planes are also unaccounted for.
The Malay Mail had reported that some personnel implicated in the F5 jet components for sale racket had accepted RM200 "to look the other way" when the components were taken out of the Sungai Besi air base.
They were said to have been bribed by a man working for a local aviation company, described as the mastermind of the racket.
The case is being investigated by the Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department in Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur.
The same news portal also quoted DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng as saying a royal commission was needed because RMAF had admitted the theft was just the “tip of the iceberg”.
“Up to now, we do not know how many such engines or other military equipment were stolen. That is why a Royal Commission of Inquiry must be established (to look) into the RM50 million RMAF F5E fighter jet engine theft, integrity of arms purchases and security of our military bases,” said Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister.
On Dec 21, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang in his blog urged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to set up a royal commission to investigate whether Dr Mahathir had “wasted or burned up” RM100 billion on grandiose projects and corruption during his 22 years as prime minister.
The claim was made in Malaysian Maverick: Mahathir Mohamad in Turbulent Times, authored by Australian Barry Wain. Copies of the book are with the Home Ministry, which is yet to decide whether to ban it.
However, on Dec 22, Dr Mahathir in his blog Che Det welcomed the call for a royal inquiry and said he would cooperate fully with the commission.
In order for the inquiry to be successful, he said, the government should give the commission full access to all documents and accounts of the government over the period 1981-2009.
"There should be no cover-up of any kind," Dr Mahathir wrote, adding that at the same time, Wain should provide documents to prove that he had "burned" RM100 billion on corruption and wasteful projects.

PM mungkin mengikuti jejak Pak Lah.
Belum dibincangkan susunan parti-parti komponen.
Keadaan nampaknya kritikal.
Rasulullah s.a.w meneruskan hasrat baginda.
Semoga Tuanku Cepat Sembuh...
Kelantan Royalty in news againby Maria J.Dass and Alyaa Alhajri
A photo of the Sultan of Kelantan with his second wife, Elia
Suhana during the reception ceremony.
PETALING JAYA (Dec 28, 2009) : The Kelantan royalty is in the news again. A woman claiming to be the second wife of the Sultan of Kelantan Sultan Ismail Petra today alleged that she was prevented from visiting her husband who has been warded at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore since May 14.
In a signed statement faxed to the Press, Elia Suhana Ahmad said she and the Sultan were married on Dec 23, 2007 in the presence of family and palace officials, but things were kept under wraps for personal reasons.
Our call to a handphone number given in the statement was picked up by a man who claimed to be her spokesman but who refused to reveal his name. He said Elia Suhana was overseas and would only be back in "one or two days".
Some photographers went to the address given in the statement but failed to meet her.
Her statement was issued in response to a Dec 21 report in the Malay Mail online titled “Police Ruckus in Royal Ward" which said palace police had helped her gain access to the Sultan.
Elia Suhana claimed that the Sultan’s consort, the Raja Perempuan Kelantan Tengku Anis Tengku Abdul Hamid’s body guards had prevented her from visiting the Sultan.
It also stated that some 20 royal guards, who are also police personnel, besieged the ward and allegedly insulted Tengku Anis.
A copy of a marriage accreditatiton cardprovided by Ella Suhana to prove she had
married the Sultan on Dec 23, 2007.
Explaining what happened, Elia Suhana said: “My personal assistant and I went to visit the Sultan in the wee hours of that morning accompanied by palace police officials.
“The Kelantan royalty generally knows of my existence, that I have no ill intention against the Sultan and that I have never ignored the palace officials,” Elia said.
She said police officers generally act on orders from their superiors and not individuals, thus their integrity in this matter should not be questioned unless those involved do not like the police's methods of upholding justice.
The news report has put both the police and the Sultan in a bad light, she added.
Elia Suhana said: “As a lawful wife, it is my responsibility to be together with the Sultan, especially at a time when he is critically ill.
"Because of circumstances, I was unable to be with the Sultan throughout his stay at the hospital but managed to visit him a few times," she said, adding that she chose to visit him at odd hours so as not to hurt the feelings of members of the royal family.
Elia Suhana said she had laid low up till now but had to go public because she had to clarify the news report.
Tip of the iceberg...

MACC report lodged against Felda
by Husna Yusop
PUTRAJAYA (Dec 28, 2009) : A non-governmental organisation has lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against Felda Holdings Berhad, a government-linked company (GLC), for alleged misuse of power.
The 1Malaysia Graduate Youth Club chairman Tan Kian Soon submitted a 50-page memorandum to the MACC containing the allegation and naming four individuals from the GLC connected to the scandal. The memorandum was received by MACC senior officer Azlin Mohd Ali.
According to club secretary-general Ezaruddin Abd Rahman, Felda Holdings, through its subsidiary, has allegedly awarded a RM160 million contract by direct negotiation method to a company chaired by an individual who is also a board member of the subsidiary.
He said the individual is also one of the inventors of the processing machines supplied to the subsidiary under the contract.
“Not only did the award of jobs to the subsidiary of a public-listed company not follow the parent company's tender procedures, the machines supplied by the contractor were also giving operational problems to the mills involved," he said.
Felda Holdings Berhad, one of Malaysia's largest agro-based enterprises which run the commercial business related to the Federal Land and Development Authority (FELDA).
Its largest shareholder is the Felda Investment Co-operative which holds 51% ownership of equity, with Felda holding the remaining 49% equity. The Minister of Finance Incorporated has one Golden Share.
Ezaruddin said the government must view the matter seriously and investigate the matter thoroughly as it involved officers of a GLC allegedly providing misleading information for their own benefits.
“By making this report we hope to address the people’s problems. We received lots of complaints on this and it is also widely discussed in the blogs. Certain individuals in the GLC have brought losses to the company,” he said, adding that a copy of the memorandum was also submitted to the Prime Minister's Office.
Ezaruddin said the club was established on Nov 10 and has 8,000 members to date, comprising professionals like lawyers and company directors.
Attempts by theSun to contact Felda Holdings were unsuccessful as its public relations officer was not in the office.

2x5 lah yob!!
Tak suka kat US beli Sukhoi...bukan apa sangat...cuma nak tunjuk US kita boleh decide...bla bla bla.

Malaysia Mesti Kaji Hubungan Diplomatik Dengan Mesir...
Mesir digesa henti bina tembok GazaBEIRUT: Pemimpin Hizbullah, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah semalam menggesa Mesir menghentikan pembinaan pagar keluli sepanjang sempadannya dengan Gaza.

- AP

Hasan Ali denies ditching Pakatan

By G Manimaran
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26 — Facing possible party censure for misconduct, Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali (picture) has denied he will leave the state Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government to be an independent lawmaker.
The conservative executive councillor reiterated today that he and PAS will remain in Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim's administration following widespread speculation over his future moves.
"Its not true... That's malicious news to smear my name. I have no such intentions," Hasan told The Malaysian Insider in response to the speculation.

Anwar dinasihat ambil iktibar kisah Nabi Yusof a.s
| Dzulfikar Mashoor | |
Khalid Cemerlang, YB Hj. Khasim Not Too Bad...
Namun YB Dato' Hassan Ali agak ketinggalan.

MP BN Ponteng Kerja...

Shah A Dadameah
Wednesday, 23 December 2009 03:21
DECEMBER 14, 2009 saw the ruling coalition virtually at the edge of collapse!
IT must have been the worst nightmare for the Barisan Nasional since the 'tsunami' of March 2008, when its two-third majority in the Dewan Rakyat was sliced by the combined political will of the DAP, PKR and PAS.

The national Budget - the first by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his eight-month old administration – scraped through by the skin of its teeth, sending nerve-wrecking waves across the House.

The known as the Supply Bill 2010, it was passed with a narrow 66-63 vote margin.
The Barisan camp must have said a silent prayer of thanks to the Almighty that not all of the 82 Pakatan Rakyat MPs were in the House during the voting.
On the side of the ruling party, 71 were absent for the crucial ‘Budget crunch.’ That is surely a big number of absentees, though it may not be fair to say that all of them had ponteng.
On 'official' duty?
Granted that some of the ministers and deputy ministers were on official duty somewhere or, like Bung Mokhtar Radin, had sought leave to attend to a domestic problem.
But it is hard to understand that the others – comprising ministers, deputy ministers and former ministers - had failed to see the urgency of voting for their own future even if they do not really care about what the Budget holds.
All that talk about the Barisan wanting to win back the hearts and minds of the people…well, it’s all talk!
So much has collapsed around them but instead of picking up the bits and pieces they are just throttling over the debris.
Media reports variedly described the three-vote majority as 'a near miss' , 'heart stopping moment', 'narrow passage' and 'measly', among others; but the ghastly message that sank in the Barisan camp was: had the Budget not been passed, it would have meant 'curtains down' for the coalition.
In other words, it would have been the end of a dominance of more than five decades by the ruling party, starting with the Alliance in 1957 and continuing through with the Barisan since 1972.
It is a convention in parliamentary democracies that if a national Budget is not passed, it is as a good as a vote of no confidence in the ruling coalition.
It was only when Najib, who is also Finance Minister I and Transport Minister Ong Tee Keat showed up that support for the bill tilted in favour of the ruling coalition, about half-an-hour before midnight!
The PM, who was reportedly at a Chinese secondary school dinner promoting the use of Mandarin among non-Chinese students, had to rush back to Parliament when Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Nazri Abdul Aziz sent out a distress call at about 8pm.
The presence of the large number of opposition MPs, including Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang, and PAS president Hadi Awang led Nazri to send the SOS to Najib.
'Taking things for granted'
“Let it be a lesson,” Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia told both sides of the House, after the vote count.
He chided the Barisan side for 'taking things for granted’ while, to the Opposition, he questioned why they voted against the national Budget.
“What can you achieve with that? Do you want a fresh election?” he asked, but he was not amused.
It was the second time that MPs passed a Bill in such manner. In June, the DNA Bill was passed by a razor thin 48-47 majority.
This year alone, the Opposition had called for bloc division vote several times but these had involved amendments to Bills and to approve motions.
But such a move had never been made on the Supply Bill, which sees to the Government’s expenditure next year.
Responding to the close call, Anwar said: “It is good as it will force the Barisan to respect the House.”
Needless to say, the high rate of absenteeism among Barisan MPs - who apparently no longer fear the spectre of March 2008 - is a big disappointment to those who voted them into the House and, in general, to all Malaysians.
While they can heave a sigh of relief that their counterparts from the DAP, PKR and PAS had failed to take advantage of the Barisan’s weakness of being nonchalant when it matters most, the horrifying 48% attendance record should be seen as a grave failure of the ruling party!
The 78% attendance of the Pakatan bench, on the other hand, is something they can crow about and a sure bolster of confidence to give the Barisan another good spanking at the next general election.
Now, how is Najib and company going to explain the big sounding KPIs and NKRAs to the people, when a much-needed explanation now is why their ministers had nearly caused the downfall of his administration?
Maybe, the Barisan MPs had not thought of the devastating effects that a changeover of administration could affect the nation.
Effects of changeover
For instance, the Opposition camp is already painting a picture of a Malaysia with two or three deputy prime ministers (taking a cue from the DAP-led Penang government.)
Talking about a near miss for the Barisan, Anwar must have also felt that he had missed a fat chance to take over the reins of power from Najib and become the prime minister that his followers want him to be.
Yes, indeed! That could have happened.
Ironically, Finance Minister II Husni Hanadzlah, commenting on the matter in Ipoh a few days later, chided the Pakatan opposition for voting against the Budget.
“They do not think of the bigger picture nor do they love the country," he reportedly said.
He added: “They could have destroyed the nation for their own political mileage by voting against the Budget."
The Yang Berhormat and his colleagues should know there is no point blaming the Pakatan MPs for not supporting the Budget.
Moreover, Husni was among the absentees.
The Barisan has forgotten that the Pakatan has its own shadow Cabinet and an ‘alternative Budget’ that they are raring to carry out, given half the chance.
Like Pandikar Amin said, just take a lesson from this near fiasco.
The following were the absentee Cabinet members on that day:
Husni Hanadzlah (Finance II), Nor Yackop (Minister in PM’s Department), Bernard Dompok (Plantation Industries and Commodities), Hishamuddin Hussein (Home), Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (Defence), Shafie Apdal (Rural and Regional Development), Maximus Ongkili (Science, Technology and Innovation), Douglas Uggah (Natural Resources and Environment). Satu Peringatan Untuk PAS Selangor....
By Neville Spykerman
SHAH ALAM, Dec 23 — PAS may end up the biggest losers in Selangor come the next general elections.
The Islamic party, which won eight out of the 56 state seats in Election 2008, in mostly urban or semi-urban constituencies, stands to lose the support of non-Muslims who make up between 20 and 40 per of voters in these constituencies, according to its own ground reports.
PAS contested a further 12 seats in predominantly rural Malay majority constituencies but lost all of them to Umno.
A PAS state lawmaker, who did not want to be named, told The Malaysian Insider that the support the party received from non-Muslims is dissipating.
“I don’t even know if I can retain my own seat in the next general elections.
“I’m on the ground, we meet the non-Malays and know they are not happy,” he said, adding that their main grouse is against the state Pas leadership, which has invited one controversy after another.
Earlier this year, PAS Commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali proposed a beer ban for Muslim-majority areas and moved to empower mosques officials to arrest Muslims caught drinking.
Although PAS attempted to explain that the proposals, which were eventually not implemented, would only affect Muslims, it triggered uneasiness among non-Muslims and created the perception that the party was pushing a hard-line Islamic agenda.
Non-muslims make up 47 per cent of Selangor ‘s population.
Worse still, Hasan has repeatedly clashed with his Pakatan Rakyat (PR) partners.
He made an open challenge in the media calling for his State Executive colleague, Ronnie Liu, to resign for allegedly ordering the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to return beer seized illegally from a 7-Eleven outlet.
More recently he caused another stir by undermining the authority of the special select committee for competency, accountability and transparency (Selcat) which was investigating abuse of state funds by former Barisan Nasional (BN) lawmakers just before the general elections last year.
Hasan accused Speaker Teng Chang Khim, who heads the state government watchdog, of bullying civil servants during a public inquiry into the misuse of funds.
“I think we are going to be in trouble if there is no change in direction or in the state leadership,” said the Pas lawmaker.
Ibrahim Suffian from the Merdeka Center for Independent Research who spoke to The Malaysian Insider did not, however, completely share the lawmaker’s pessimism.
“Overall PAS is gaining more support from non-Muslims, more so now after last week’s PR Convention when they reiterated their stand with the coalition.”
Before the March 8 general elections, non-Malay sentiment was to vote for any party which was not in the ruling BN coalition including PAS despite the reservations they might have had about the Islamic party.
In subsequent by-elections, Chinese and Indians, especially in Perak, willingly voted for PAS.
However, in Selangor, he could not discount the negative publicity generated by Pas Selangor including forcing their values on non-Muslims.
“Their urban seats could be in jeopardy.”
Whether Selangor PAS continues to clash with their PR partners and alienate non-Muslims could depend on the party’s disciplinary committee.
Hasan, along with his one-time deputy, Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad, who has openly criticised the former’s policies have been hauled up before the committee for “jeopardizing the party’s image.”
Both men have responded to show-cause letters and the disciplinary committee is expected to decide on the next course of action today.
The committee could decide there is no case to answer, which would lead to status quo in the state leadership, or opt to suspend or remove Hasan as state commissioner, but this is unlikely because of his close links to PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, who appointed him in the first place.
The most likely outcome could be a face-saving slap on the wrist for either Hasan or for both men.

Najib: No cover up over missing jet engine
UPDATED
By Neville SpykermanKUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak defended his administration today after the embarrassing revelation that an F-5E fighter jet engine went missing in 2007, saying there was no cover up in the incident which happened while he was Defence Minister.
He said today that the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Ministry of Defence lodged a police report as soon as the jet engine was discovered to be missing late last year.
Police are currently still investigating how the engine could have been stolen.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the engine, which he claimed is still worth RM50 million, had been sold to an international company based in South America.
Najib, however, sidestepped a question on reports that an RMAF brigadier-general was sacked because of the lost engine but was still receiving his pension.
“That would depend on what he had done,” he said adding that investigations are still underway.
He added that the RMAF and the Armed Forces should be credited for not trying to cover up the criminal act and for cooperating with police investigations.
The New Straits Times today reported that the general, a department head and 40 others were sacked late last year over their alleged involvement in the case of the missing RM50 million jet fighter engine.
The general and four others have been identified as the main culprits in the case.
Those sacked lost their pensions and other benefits as former servicemen while others had to opt for early retirement. The general, however, retained his pension and other benefits.

Inilah version yang teman faham selama ini...
Daftar Pakatan: Hadi mungkin salah faham, kata Anwar

According to him, these individuals do as they please without proper regard for the law of the land and the percepts laid down in the federal constitution.
"We are like Zimbabwe, just with another name!" stressed the law expert.Zimbabwe under President Robert Mugabe has earned international infamy over it's questionable policies and use of the legal system and laws to prop up the government.
Elaborating, Abdul Aziz said: "I don't know how else to call them, sometimes we need to call a spade, a spade. What we have is a state of lawlessness, it's like the law of the jungle."
He pointed to the recent overturning of the high court decision regarding the Malaysian Anti Corruption Agency's (MACC) right to interrogate beyond office hours as a glaring example.
"It is painful to hear the court of appeal decision. They are using the provision to overrule the high court, saying it is silent on the matter," he told Malaysiakini.
'Judiciary takes its cue from government'
According to the UIA law professor, the court of appeal's recent decision "is a lame decision and in itself a failure to carry out the court's role, namely to fill the gap left by parliament in the statute."
Abdul Aziz is adamant that "the high court decision is to be preferred as it is closer to justice and the spirit of the constitution."
"It is for the court to fill the gap by making a decision that is closer to fairness and justice," he added, though he bemoaned that in Malaysia, "the judiciary takes its cue from the government."
"When you have a judiciary like what we have, what can we do? In normal circumstances you go to court to compel the parties who refuse to do its legal duty to do it. But not in our case," he said.
What is worse, according to Abdul Aziz, Barisan Nasional is "undermining or simply could not care less about the constitution."
"BN has demonstrated complete disregard for the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution, either the letter or the spirit of it," he said.
Abdul Aziz contends that the Reid Commission's original intent was to propagate federalism, this he said permeates through the entirety of the constitution with the express delineation of powers to the state and the federal government.
On a micro scale, he added, this framework of federalism included the issue of the petroleum royalties and funding for states.
Umno warlords stumbling block to change
Abdul Aziz believes that the BN government is clearly going against the constitution when it set up the JPP (Federal Development Department) which is ultra vires of the defined rights of the states.
He explained that the state has rights to certain grants and funding the federal government sans such 'intermediaries'.
The use of the Emergency Ordinance to define territorial waters in the Kelantan oil royalty issue, he said, is another example of the BN government's disregard for the law.
"Why not refer to the Petroleum Act or the Law of The Sea?" he asked.
In a similar vein, he also criticised the federal government's 'play acting' in making much ado when giving assistance and aid during natural disasters to opposition held states,
"Why the furore, it is their duty anyway, as described in the constitution," he said.
According to Abdul Aziz, this rot of lawlessness goes right down to BN's core which is Umno.
He is of the opinion that the Umno warlords cannot be reformed and as long as they exists, Umno cannot be reformed.
"They simply don't want to do it," he said.

Kesian.

Cuba baca kisah2 20 universiti terbaik dunia. Janganlah bandingkan dengan universiti professor2 kangkong.
BTW...kalu tak perform, at anytime kontrak beliau sebagai VC boleh ditamatkan. Apa masalahnya??

Nak salahkan Tok Guru macam mana??
Keduanya pasal Rosmah. Betullah dia tak perlu risau sebab pegawai2 yan sepatutnya menyiasat kes beliau baik Polis, SPRM mahupun AG sendiri tak jumpa2 apa2 kesalahan beliau. Walaupun saksi menawarkan diri....
Tak taulah tak jumpa sebab apa? Memang benar2 tak ada atau ada sebab2 lain. Jadi nak salahkan dia macam mana??
Sendiri kena ingatlah yob..!!
