Khalid Menteri Besar Terbaik!!

Subky Latif,30 Okt 2012

Apabila Selangor beroleh Menteri Besar terbaik tentulah ia berhadapan masalah mendapatkan ganti sebaiknya.

Penjelasan LUAS tentang status sebenar "Krisis Air Selangor!"

Hentikan Keliru Rakyat Isu Paras Empangan Air. (disertakan: Kenyataan LUAS Tentang Peningkatan Kapasiti Empangan Sg Sgor)

by Abdul Khalid Ibrahim on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 4:09pm ·

TAN SRI ABDUL KHALID IBRAHIM
DATO' MENTERI BESAR SELANGOR
21 OKTOBER 2012

(Disertakan Kenyataan Akhbar LUAS Tentang Peningkatan Kapasiti Empangan Sg. Selangor pada 21 Okt 2012 dan gambar empangan selangor)

PENINGKATAN KAPASITI TAKUNGAN EMPANGAN SUNGAI SELANGOR

Walau bagaimanapun, LUAS sentiasa memastikan sumber air mencukupi.

The Murder of Altantuya ShaariibuuPDFPrintE-mail
Written by John Berthelsen
THURSDAY, 18 OCTOBER 2012

Altantuya Shaariibuu, 1978-2006
Altantuya Shaariibuu, 1978-2006
Six years on, troubling questions remain about the Mongolian beauty's death, and who ordered it
It will be six years tomorrow since bodyguards for now-Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak dragged the Mongolian translator and party girl Altantuya Shaariibuu out of a car in a patch of jungle near the Kuala Lumpur suburb of Shah Alam. As she begged for her life and apparently that of her unborn child, they knocked her unconscious, then shot her twice in the head.

That was Oct. 19, 2006. According to court testimony, Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri and Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, members of the elite Unit Tindakan Khas, both assigned to Najib’s office, then wrapped Altantuya’s body in C4 plastic explosives and blew her up, possibly to mangle her remains so badly that the fetus would be destroyed.

Sirul Azhar was interrogated by police shortly after the murder was discovered. He was informed that anything he said could be held against him, in accordance with the law. In his cautioned statement, as his confession was called in Malaysia, he told authorities he and Azilah had been offered RM100,000 to kill the woman and her two companions, who were causing highly public embarrassment for Abdul Razak Baginda, Najib’s best friend. The 28-year-old Mongolian woman, in a letter found after her death, wrote that she was sorry she had been blackmailing Razak Baginda.

If French police records are to be believed, Razak Baginda was allegedly central to a massive bribery case in which a total of nearly €150 million in payments were steered to two Razak Baginda companies, Perimekar Sdn Bhd and Terasasi Hong Kong Ltd.

As Asia Sentinel reported earlier this year, records seized by the French police show that former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad and the French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe were aware of the transactions. Memos obtained by Asia Sentinel show the French expected at least part of the money to be steered to the United Malays National Organization, Malaysia’s biggest ethnic political party.

Sirul’s confession was never admitted in court despite its seeming legality. And, despite a 14-month trial, neither the prosecutors, the defense nor the judge asked who had offered the RM100,000 payment to the two men. Najib’s chief of staff, Musa Safri, reportedly dispatched the two policemen to pick up Altantuya and her companions, who mercifully weren’t around when the two murderers abducted Altantuya, or presumably they would have died with her, As nearly as can be detremined from official records, Musa Safri was never questioned about the matter, nor was Najib.

This recounting is important because in recent weeks Najib’s government has embarked on a concerted legal campaign to discredit a long string of political reform and independent news organizations who have kept the Altantuya story and others concerning corruption and political misdoings alive in Malaysia. Instead, the government and UMNO leaders have accused the reformers of being the tools of the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition, or of foreign powers, out to destabilize Malaysia. The presumptive foreign powers are shadowy ones, sometimes German, sometimes American, sometimes Israeli, sometimes unnamed. Enormously long blogs have been written calling into question the French documents, which were published by Asia Sentinel.

But whoever these foreign powers are, they are cast as out to hoodwink Malaysia’s voters out of the government that is best for them in national elections to be held sometime next year, probably in April. This is an old story, peddled by a long string of disreputable governments across the world when reformers get too close, and it may hold sway again in Malaysia.

But there is one incontrovertible fact. Altantuya Shaariibuu is dead, and she appears to have been killed at the behest of someone with considerable clout in Kuala Lumpur. If her dying statement to Sirul Azhar, as he recounted it in his confession, is to be accepted, she appeared to have been carrying the baby of someone, perhaps high in power in Malaysia.

And, despite indignant denials from the powers that be, Altantuya appears to have had inside knowledge of the later events in France when Razak Baginda and Najib Tun Razak visited to deal with matters surrounding the purchase of Scorpene submarines from the French contractor DCN.

Although pro-government critics have denied she had ever visited France, according to testimony given by Abdul Razak when he was under investigation for ordering the two bodyguards to kill Altaantuya, he himself told investigators he traveled with her to France in 2005.

Records seized by French investigators from DCN, the defense contractor that sold Malaysia the submarines, bear that out, According to French investigators’ records, Abdul Razak Baginda and Altantuya met with Jean Marie Boivin, the alleged French fixer who helped to organize “commissions” for friends in high places to pick DCN’s submarines on that same trip. Boivin arranged to pay for a jaunt by Altantuya and Abdul Razak to Macau.

Najib has sworn on the Quran that he never met Altantuya, although she was in France at the same time as he was, accompanying Najib’s best friend, Abdul Razak Baginda. On June 11, 2005, Najib gave a press conference after having visited the site where the Scorpene submariners were being trained.

“As a maritime nation, (the) acquisition will give our navy the added capabilities,” he told the media. Earlier, in the port city of Brest, Najib visited a naval base where Malaysian navy submariners were training, and, according to the log of an Australian submariner association, presented jackets made available by Perimekar – Abdul Razak Baginda’s company – to the crew.
Back in Kuala Lumpur when it was realized that Altantuya was missing, her cousin lodged a police report and sought help from the Mongolian embassy in Bangkok. The Malaysian police found fragments of bone, later verified as hers, in forested land near Shah Alam. The honorary Mongolian consul in Malaysia was given a packet of pictures of Altantuya in Paris, apparently recovered from her hotel room. She had posed in front of the Louis Vuitton headquarters and a variety of other Paris sites. Altantuya’s cousin said she had been shown a picture of the dead woman at a dinner with Najib. If it existed, it was not included in the packet made available to the Mongolian consul, who forwarded the rest of them to Asia Sentinel.

After the arrest of Razak Baginda and the two policemen, there ensued a carnival of a trial in a Malaysia high court, in which prosecutors were switched at the last minute; in which Abdul Razak Baginda was acquitted without having to put on a defense; in which nobody in Najib’s office was called to testify about who offered to pay the RM100,000; in which Sirul’s confession was never introduced, nor was he asked about any of the facts in it; in which nobody ever asked why immigration records for Altantuya and her two companions disappeared; why or how the two policemen were able to get their hands on C4 plastic explosives available only to the military in the bid to destroy her body. The honorary consul was never asked who gave him the pictures, nor if there others that might have shown more than just her.

On Feb. 3, 2009, Sirul pleaded with the court not to sentence him to death, describing himself as "a black sheep that has to be sacrificed" to protect unnamed people. "I have no reason to cause hurt, what's more to take the life of the victim in such a cruel manner .... I appeal to the court, which has the powers to determine if I live or die, not to sentence me so as to fulfill others' plans for me."

Eventually the two bodyguards were convicted and packed off to prison. They launched appeals, then other appeals. Their appeals were supposed to have been heard in February this year, eight months ago. Mysteriously their appeals have been delayed. They were supposed to be heard in August. They have been delayed again, and the suspicion is that they will be delayed until after the next election, or perhaps forever.

Altantuya Shaariibuu continues to await justice. Birnam Wood still may come to Dunsinane.

Ex-IGP Musa withdraws suit against Anwar
10:05AM Oct 16, 2012
Former inspector-general of police Musa Hassan has today withdrawn his defamation suit against Anwar Ibrahim over the opposition leader's police report on fabrication of evidence in the Sodomy I trial.

NONEThe withdrawal of the former police chief's suit was recorded before Kuala Lumpur High Court judicial commissioner Asmabi Mohamad.

Musa's lawyers Kamarul Hisham Kamaruddin and Hasnal Rezua Merican informed Asmabi of the withdrawal before a packed court room filled with Anwar's supporters.

Anwar’s lawyer N Surendran said as a result of the withdrawal, they are not seeking costs.
Musa filed the suit following Anwar’s police report against him, attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail, former Kuala Lumpur CID chief Mat Zain Ibrahim and Hospital Kuala Lumpur pathologist Dr Abdul Rahman Mohd Yusof in 2008 alleging fabrication of evidence in the Sodomy I trial.

Anwar, who was arrested on Sept 20, 1998 on allegations of abuse of power and sodomy, was assaulted by former IGP Abdul Rahim Noor while being detained at the lock-up.

The police report led to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating Musa and Abdul Gani - the investigating officer on the two cases against Anwar and chief prosecutor respectively - on allegations of possible abuse of power, where a three-member panel led by former Federal Court judge Abdul Kadir Sulaiman was called in to conduct a probe.

However, the panel in a majority ruling ruled that Musa and Abdul Gani were not guilty of abuse of power. Abdul Kadir was the only one dissenting in the panel.

Despite the panel’s clearance of Abdul Gani and Musa which was announced by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Abdul Aziz in Parliament, the allegations on the duo persist.

This follows revelations by Mat Zain, the investigating officer in the black eye incident, over the duo’s role in allegedly fabricating evidence in various open letters which he had posted to the media, with copies sent to the IGP and Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

‘In the dark’ IGP: Who said that?

Teoh El Sen
 | October 12, 2012
KUALA LUMPUR: Immigration Department director-general Alias Ahmad had confirmed that his officers were stopping certain travellers at airports based on a list furnished by the Bukit Aman police headquarters.
But when the question of a police list was posed to Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar today, the latter seemed to be in the dark.
“Who said that? Who?” he asked, visibly puzzled.
“Can you confirm that with the Immigration [Department]?” he added. “[Is that claim] from the right channels or hearsay?” he was quoted as saying.
Ismail had initially said that the Immigration Department had the right to stop travellers for checks when quizzed on such incidents involving several Bersih leaders.
“It is the right and process of the Immigration to stop [travellers],” he said.
Yesterday, FMT had obtained a confirmation from Alias regarding the list, after Bersih co-chaiperson S Ambiga claimed that she was stopped for no reason.
Ambiga, who was at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport to board a flight to Australia, said she was held at the auto-gate for about 10 minutes on Tuesday night.
The former Bar Council president claimed that it was an act of harassment.
This morning, two other Bersih steering committee members K Arumugam and Toh Kin Woon were stopped at the LCCT and KLIA airports respectively.
Prior to Ambiga, other Bersih leaders who suffered similar treatment were Maria Chin Abdullah, Wong Chin Huat, Yeo Yang Poh and Andrew Khoo.

Just Close Down MAS and Write It Off....!!

Adakah anda fikir MAS boleh diselamatkan? Jangan mimpilah!! Berapa chairman dah tukar? Berapa kali usaha untuk revive MAS dilakukan? Semuanya menemui jalan buntu.

Janganlah sentimental sangat....

Brahim's-MAS catering deal "remains intact"

PETALING JAYA (Oct 10, 2012): Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has backed out of plans to renegotiate its 25-year catering agreement with Brahim's Holdings Bhd, a move some quarters view as aimed at avoiding a possible financial penalty.
The airline is already bogged down by operating losses to the tune of RM408.8 million in the first half of this year.
A termination of the contract, which runs from 2003 to 2028, between Brahim's and MAS would have entitled Brahim's to a financial compensation from MAS.
In a statement today, Brahim's said its catering agreement with MAS "remains intact" following discussions with representatives from MAS, and will proceed to reconvene an EGM that was adjourned in September after MAS had indicated its intention to renegotiate the catering deal.
Shareholders were to have voted on Brahim's proposed acquisition of a 49% interest in Brahim's-LSG Sky Chefs Holdings Sdn Bhd from LSG Asia GmbH for RM130 million at the EGM, but had decided to adjourn the meeting until there was "greater clarity" on the status of its catering agreement with MAS.
About 92% of Brahim's revenue comes from its contract with MAS.
"We wish to inform that any operational issues will be reviewed and resolved progressively within the framework of the existing catering agreement. Brahim's will proceed with the needful to reconvene the EGM to relay its clarification with MAS to Brahim's Holdings' shareholders, that the catering agreement remains intact," the company said.

YOU'RE BEHIND TIMES, Eli tells Najib: Step down as Women's minister!

Written by  Elizabeth Wong

YOU'RE BEHIND TIMES, Eli tells Najib: Step down as Women's minister!
It is hard to understand why Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak would choose an occassion such as National Women's Day to insult Malaysian women and our efforts to achieve equality.
Najib, who is also Women, Family and Community Development Minister, was quoted as saying there is "no need for a women's rights movement in Malaysia." According to him, equality has already been given from the start.
Najib further revealed just how out of touch he is with the lives ordinary Malaysians, especially women when he used the example of an elite golf club in the United States that restricts women membership. Women in Malaysia, he says, are free to join any club.
What he fails to understand is the struggle for gender equality is not about gaining admission to elite country clubs. Instead, generations of Malaysian women have been struggling to address the lack of women in decision-making positions, such as Parliament, State Assemblies, corporate boardrooms and the civil service.
We have been fighting to ensure women receive equal pay as our male counterparts. We have been demanding for women to be treated by society with respect and dignity.
In these areas, Malaysia remains very far behind the rest of the world. Despite making up half the population, less than 10% of Members of Parliament are women, while only a small fraction of candidates for public office are female. The recent spate of lenient sentences for those found guilty of statutory rape also served as a reminder how much further we still have to go in pursuit of justice for women in Malaysia.
Squeezing out women
To make matters worse, Najib's view on women's rights is apparent not only from his words, but also deeds. This can be seen in the continous
reduction in budget allocation given to the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry.
In 2010, it received RM2.4 billion in budget allocation. The following year it was reduced to RM2 billion, before being slashed to RM1.9 billion in 2012. For 2013, the ministry will have to make do with even less: only RM1.8 billion has been allocated in the recently announced budget. One would think with Najib helming the ministry it would be given priority in terms of funding, but clearly the opposite has happened.
In stark contrast, Pakatan Rakyat allocated RM4.5 billion in its shadow budget, which will include a National Women's Contribution Fund and childcare allowance.
The Fund will operate as a social safety net for five million women homemakers, and cost RM3 billion a year to operate. In the event that they are widowed, disabled or divorced, they will be able to fall back on the fund for their needs.
Najib's statement today is a shameful step back in the movement towards gender equality and representation. However it has certainly made clear to the public that he does not regard women's rights as important. This is why he should not remain as Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.

Come on larrrr Azman Ujang! Sekaranglarrr masanya promote Anwar Ibrahim jadi PM...Hehe!!

Anwar Ibrahim! Perdana Menteri Malaysia Ke 7

Senyum sendirian teman baca artikal di atas ni. Bukan apa? Baru padan muka...Kahkahkah!!

Baca ni...

These are relevant questions in the wake of what I perceive as "an appeal straight from the heart" by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin last week to the opposition leader.

Putrajaya has almost exhausted its options in an all-out bid to prevent a water crisis expected to hit Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya – which together make up the country's most densely populated region – by 2014.

Patience is running thin at the highest level of the federal government over this rare but huge battle of wits in the federal-state working relationship, and it's for this that Muhyiddin raised the matter with Anwar. Anwar is not only the de facto Pakatan Rakyat leader but wears the hat of economic adviser to the Selangor government led by Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

For all intents and purposes, Khalid is relishing the role he's playing as Mr Obstructionist with all kinds of reasons to see to it that the massive RM8 billion project to source raw water from Pahang and the Langat 2 treatment plant that goes with it, won't become a reality.

He has issued one ultimatum after another that he'll only grant a development order for the plant if Putrajaya agrees to the state's ambitious water restructuring plan.

Mati akal mangkok2 ni yob. Demer ingat kalu nak memerintah mesti menipu macam puak2 demer. Heran demer nyer nengok si Khalid buat kerja....Kahkahkah!!...Baca lagi yob kat bawah ni...

In Selangor, where for the first time in the nation's history water is given free to consumers to fulfill the Pakatan Rakyat's 2008 general election promise, it is highly perplexing and even amusing that the state government is obsessed with taking over the water business knowing that producing and delivering water to millions of homes and thousands of industries incur horrendous costs.

The figure that's bandied about by the state government is that it is prepared to pay up to RM9 billion to take over its water assets. Even assuming that it can afford to come up with such a huge amount of money, how is it going to recoup its investments when it's giving free water to the people? It doesn't tally, let alone make sense. Except, of course, if it's solely to play the game of one-up-manship with Putrajaya.

Lagi lagi jadi giler...Kahkahkah!! Baca bawah ni yob...

Then amid this latest spat between both sides, came an announcement last week by Pahang Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob that the state government would not hesitate to cancel the water transfer project if the Selangor government believed it did not need water from Pahang. Earlier he had said Pahang would consider reviewing the agreement because Selangor had politicised the matter.

It's an understatement to say that it's being politicised. In reality, it's the most highly politicised issue that I can think of.

Adnan's threat to cancel the project only plays into the hands of the Selangor government and suits its political agenda and the biggest losers, if it ever sees the light of day, will be the people, the economy and the federal government. I'm sure Adnan knows this, which is why many were taken aback by his announcement.

Consider this, up to Aug 31, a substantial portion of the RM8 billion meant for the inter-state water transfer project has been spent. These include completing 67% or 22.9km of the 44.6km long tunnel while 47% of water pumps and valves and about 60% of the dual piping system have been installed.

If the agreement is scrapped, we will not only have a huge white elephant in the country but worse, dry taps.
Kah haghu semua tu.. Akhirnya...Ya! Akhirnya terpaksalarrrr minta tolong kat Pak Sheikh!! Ngaku jugalarrrr demer sumer ya!! Hahahaha....
Now, it looks like the hopes of these millions rest with Anwar. He was once our deputy prime minister and is it too much to ask him to play a statesman's role, rising above partisan politics to end the deadlock?

Anwar, perhaps more than us laymen, knows that there are things in life that are more important than politics. Water is one of them.

Kahkahkah...Hajer Nyer yob yob semua!!

Tukar kerajaan tak dapat dielak....Amacam??

Menteri: Kenaikan tarif elektrik tak dapat dielak
11:44AM Okt 2 2012
